Stephen Beck, Managing Partner
Stephen became Managing Partner of Whitehead Monckton in October 2011. He manages the strategic and operational side of the practice working with the Partnership Board and the Central Services Managers.
In addition to his management role, Stephen is also Head of Tax and Estate Planning, specialising in most aspects of wealth management, especially inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning. He advises on the drawing up of wills, as well as administering estates and trusts, lasting powers of attorney and receiverships. As an experienced litigator, he is noted for his work acting for families, estates and trusts on a variety of contentious probate issues. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
After graduating with a law degree, Stephen joined Whitehead Monckton in 1992 gaining valuable experience in a wide range of legal disciplines and qualified as a solicitor in 1994. He became a partner in 1999.
Stephen is a panellist of the Court of Protection's panel of professional receivers.
Stephen regularly appears on BBC Radio Kent phone-in programmes as their resident will, estates and tax expert.
